Established in 1999, Global has evolved over the past 15 years with a significant footprint throughout Australia and a developing export business in the USA, with plans to expand to Asia and Europe. We offer an extensive range of orthopaedic implants including knee, hip and spine products. We also have a strong focus on providing enabling technologies such as robotics and navigation methodologies.

Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations that are formulated by the various Regulatory Bodies in countries where we conduct business is an essential element in the manner Global conducts business. Written and implemented procedures underpin all decisions and activities undertaken by the Company. This allows us to meet stringent ethical and legal standards, thus ensuring the commitment to full Regulatory, Quality and Legal compliance is met. Global strongly endorses both the letter and the spirit of the MTAA Code of Practice – MTAA Code of Practice.

The Clinical Research Team is responsible for implementing and monitoring a research programme to ensure that Global maintains a robust reputation for Research Excellence.
The Research Team specialises in research proposal evaluation, study setup, execution and management as well as analysis of scientific clinical study data. These studies can be small or may include a greater number of patients, using multiple centres, investigating one or more implants or techniques. Global supports sponsored research as well as supporting Orthopaedic Surgeons with a clinical research focus through investigator initiated studies and research grants.
All clinical studies supported by Global are conducted in compliance with the principles of ICH GCP (Good Clinical Practice), the Declaration of Helsinki, the National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines (NHMRC) and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Research & Development
Global’s subsidiary, Global Manufacturing Technology (GMT), produce Global’s Australian manufactured Implant and Instrument systems. GMT is Australia’s largest orthopaedic implant manufacturer and is situated in Global’s Head Office in Baulkham Hills, Sydney. Renowned for its quality of work, GMT is ISO13485 accredited and their products satisfy Australia’s TGA, Europe’s CE and the United States of America’s FDA requirements.
GMT uses only the highest quality material suppliers from England, France, Switzerland and the United States of America and the latest technology to produce their implants to ensure the products are of a world class standard. GMT is also renowned for its development and manufacture of custom surgical instrumentation to assist Global in providing tailored solutions to surgeons.
